Roaming Photography in NYC
Two people, no fixed spot: a photographer captures guests wherever the moment happens — the entrance tunnel, the courtside crowd, the floor — while an attendant shares the branded photo to their phone before they walk away, by text or email.
Real output from real NYC events.

Coverage that moves with the event
Roaming Photography is a two-person crew: a photographer working the room or the crowd, and an attendant carrying a tablet who reviews and shares each shot on the spot. Nothing is fixed to one backdrop. We can station at an entrance or a branded tunnel to catch every guest coming in, then roam the floor for the rest of the event — the courts, the crowd, the sponsor activation, wherever the real moments are happening. It's built for New York events that don't hold still: a sponsor activation on a closed street, a festival footprint, a conference floor, a gala that spreads across multiple rooms.
Instant, branded, and in their hands before they leave
Every photo carries your custom branded overlay — your logo, your campaign line, your look — applied the moment it's captured. The attendant shares it straight to the guest's phone by text or email before they've moved on to the next thing, so the branded image is already in their hands (and their story) while they're still at your event. There's no printer line and no waiting on a kiosk — just a photographer, an attendant, and a photo that's theirs to share in under a minute.
Built for the moments that don't sit still
Sponsor activations, street and outdoor activations, conferences, galas and festivals are where Roaming Photography earns its keep — anywhere the guests, the crowd or the footprint is too spread out for a single stationed backdrop to cover. We've run it at a branded entrance tunnel on a closed Manhattan street and worked a competition floor courtside; the crew adapts to the venue and the moment instead of asking guests to come find a booth.
Case Study: Rhone at CityPicklePalooza
On August 26, 2026, we ran Roaming Photography for Rhone at CityPicklePalooza in Times Square, Manhattan. A roaming photographer worked the branded Rhone entrance tunnel as players and guests arrived, then moved courtside to City Pickle's pickleball courts to keep capturing the action. Every photo carried Rhone's custom branded overlay — "RHONE / Move like a champion." — and the attendant shared each shot to guests instantly on the spot. The gallery below is real output from that activation.
The online gallery — and the data behind it
Every photo also lands in a branded online gallery guests can revisit and download after the event, so the coverage keeps working after the last shot is taken. Behind the scenes, the same activation gives you usage data — share counts and gallery activity — so a sponsor or brand marketer can see how the photo experience actually performed, not just that it happened.
Roaming Photography vs. Shot Box
Both are DigiBooths photographer-led services — neither is a self-serve booth — but they solve different moments. Shot Box stations a photographer at one entrance or step-and-repeat for polished, red-carpet-style arrival portraits of every guest. Roaming Photography moves: the photographer and attendant travel through the event — the tunnel, the floor, the crowd — with the same instant, branded sharing built in. Running a red-carpet arrival? Start with Shot Box. Covering an activation, a festival footprint or a floor that spreads across a venue? That's Roaming.

Good questions, straight answers.
What is roaming photography?
Roaming Photography is a mobile, photographer-led coverage service — a photographer and an attendant with a tablet move through your event capturing custom-branded photos and sharing them to guests instantly by text or email, rather than working from one fixed backdrop.
How is roaming photography different from Shot Box?
Shot Box stations a photographer at one entrance or step-and-repeat for red-carpet-style arrival portraits of every guest. Roaming Photography moves through the event instead — the entrance tunnel, the floor, the crowd — with the same instant, branded sharing built in. Pick Shot Box for a red-carpet arrival moment; pick Roaming for coverage that needs to travel with the event.
How do guests get their photos?
The attendant reviews and shares each branded photo straight to the guest's phone on the spot, by text or email. Every photo also lands in a branded online gallery guests can revisit and download after the event.
What NYC events is roaming photography built for?
Sponsor activations, street and outdoor activations, conferences, galas and festivals — anywhere the guests or the footprint are too spread out for a single stationed backdrop, and the coverage needs to come to them instead.
Can the coverage be branded to our sponsor or event?
Yes. Every photo carries a custom branded overlay — your logo, campaign line or look — applied at capture, and the online gallery + share flow are branded to match. Behind the scenes you also get usage data (share counts and gallery activity) from the activation.
